| | The PC Gaming: What We’ve Witnessed, What to Expect in 2007 | | Of course, having in mind the recently launched Wii and PS3, everyone would think this year has been “the year of the console”. But the big picture shows that the PC is still strong.Let’s give Caesar what belongs to Caesar. As you all know, one of the two founders of Intel came up with a law more than 30 years ago about how processors’ computing power will double at every 2 years, due to the increased number of transistors that will be integrated into them. 2006 has shown that Moore’s law is closing in to its limits, since the shrinking of transistors almost reached the physical borders beyond which electricity would tear apart the circuits. Of course, we will still see processors manufactured with the 65nm technology or even the 45 nm technology in the future, but beyond these dimensions it’s becoming almost impossible the have a silicon chip working. What does that have to do with the PC gaming? Well, video games are today ranked among the three most demanding software applications for a PC, which means that they are stressing the hardware components very much, especially the CPU. For example, to have a game look exactly like in reality on a simple desktop (extremely... | |

| What does the general population think of next gen systems. | | Well people the xbox 360's on the top of my list. This system is standing on really shakey ground right now due to several lawsuits that have happened to Microsofts Director of the 360. He has been having to recall and check every system of concered people who have sent back their systems due to concerns to make sure they are okay to have at their house. This has slown production of everything happening at Microsoft causing many game and accesories delays which is their only source of income for the system, because they are actually losing money on their system. Some problems with this system is that they over heat extremely fast. Although some of the games are outstanding. The two that I'm mentioning are of course the challenging Chrome Hounds. I would definetly give this a 9/10 on my game ratio you have got to try this game. Second would be Elder Scrolls Oblivion due to excellent graphics worthy of much praise. Also due for notice on this game is the amount you can play if you did almost everything on this game it would take you about 46 plus hours of gaming. Next down my list is the Nintendo Revolution(Now named WII). This looks like a very promising system. Not to much is... | |
| | Morrowind Elder Scrolls Custom Mods | | Wow!I just posted a discussion & then went looking for it....Lost!Now I know better: use alot of key search words!Anywayz- I am hoping to get togeather with some of the other Morrowwind players and draw up some custom plug-ins (mods) for them. As I posted earlier, I work well with the TES Construction Set and am working on a completely different game. This game, when done, will have completely different classes, races, and even a new start area! The game will be based in Bronze Age Greece. If anyone out there know this system better, please contact me, as I am still a little fuzzy on the .nif files and adding some new graphics to the existing structure (designing the Hydra is a REAL PAIN).~OutSideIn | |

| | Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (question) | | ok, so i'm on the web looking at the manga for a series that i'm watching (Naruto). There are some series that i like the manga better, and there are some where i am dead Regarding Enchantments. I'm just getting into enchantments. It was always so confusing to me with Morrowind, so I skipped it. Never did beat that game. Not very user friendly. Anyway, I'm now getting into enchantments. And want to use my armor for some resistances. What's the difference betwene being fire resistant and spell resistant? If I have 100% spell absorption, why would I need any percentage fire resistance? Or shock, or frost? Or poison? Poison maybe. But I want an answer from someone who's knowledgable in the subject. Don't just guess. I need someone who knows for sure. What's the difference?
