| We, in my family in India, eat food with our fingers in clean stainless steel plates (thalis) . We do not use knives, forks or spoons normally. Similarly for drinking water, we use properly cleaned stainless steel glasses. We stopped using glass-tumblers because of the very frequent breakage, due to the negligence by the maid-servant, who does the house hold work and the utensil cleaning. Long back, we used utensils made from brass for cooking and ‘gun-metal’ (kansa) for eating; but those days are gone. Is this not economical and good for health.
What you do, what utensils you use. Please discuss.
