| | Who else here plays WWE wrestling games? Which is the last one you played? | | I think the last one I played was either Legends of Wrestling 2 for Gamecube or WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 for Wii. I have pretty much every wrestling game for every system I own. I've actually been debating about whether I should get a Playstation 2 for awhile now. I hear that the earlier Smackdown vs. Raw games on Playstation 2 are supposed to be better than the latest version. I've heard about there being a Smackdown vs. Raw bundle on PS2 which includes Smackdown vs Raw 05-07 for $30. Do you think it's worth getting a PS2 for those games or would I be better off saving for a PS3? How much longer do you think they'll keep producing PS2 games? | |

| | Have you been to any where legends are steeped and alive? | | There was this ancient ruin I visited recently. It's up in a mountain and part of an ancient temple. There was a beautiful area with small ponds around with waters from the ground through a marvellous drainage system. The locals believe it used to be the showering place of ancient princesses, princes, kings and queens and the royal household of one great dynasty. It's waters are cool, clear and very refreshing. Legend has it that those who bathe or drink its waters may have their wishes fulfilled. I'm not really superstitious. But then again I'm not one who oppose it as something nonsensical and needs to be challenged. I just want to have a good time bathing. Do you believe in something like this? Have you been to any where legends are steeped and alive? | |

| Do you believe in URBAN LEGENDS? | | I guess that's why they call them "legends" because they are NOT true.. but some are just really scary and believable...I love reading urban legends- the problem is i can't get them out of my mind after i read them. Just recently i read an urban legend about an antique doll- after that i can't sleep[i was really creeped out for no reason].. I couldn't sleep for like 2 hours and when i was able to sleep, I woke up again and again...:[ I really should stop reading urban legends..:D
I know it's silly not being able to sleep because of some scary fictional story... | |
| | Rural legends (an external dpt of Urban legends Ltd): Death's boots. | | In Audubon's "Notes on rattlesnake" published in Edinburgh in 1827 -- thanks to Google Books --, I find a "true" story that I heard here two or three times. The serial killer is not the same: the rattlesnake is a very dangerous American snake; the European one, the red viper (Vipera aspis), is not so venomous, and is rarely able to kill an adult man.Audubon speaks of a farmer in Pennsylvania bitten through a boot by a rattlesnake. He hadn't seen nor heard the snake, felt sick at home, and died in a few hours. One year later his elder son took his father's boots to go to church; returned at home he felt scratched on the leg whilst drawing the boots, and died the day after. His effects were sold two years later and a second brother bought the boots. He tried them, felt a scratch when drawing them, suffered and died.As I said, I heard here quite the same story with an other snake involved, a red viper (They are not red, but brown orange. There is many rural legends about these reptiles), killing also three persons of the same family through a shoe, and I think that these "true" stories are probably rural legends. There is another one in Audubon's Notes when he speaks of... | |

| When are the times you were sharing urban legends with your friends? | | I know Urban legends were either shared during slumber parties of little girls and at bonfire of a camping trip. I think when I was a kid, I was exchanging scary stories with some friends at school when teachers are not around. But now most likely people were exchanging scary stories in the internet. I also remember people were sharing scary stories at office Christmas party. | |
