| | Court Summons orders Looney Tunes and Disney Characters to appear in court | | In a case where they are going after a man for producing and selling counterfeit Disney and warner Brother's items, the court summoned the charachters>Tweety Bird, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and his girlfriend, Daisy, in a summons, officials said. "Unfortunately they cannot show up, as they are residents of Disneyland," Sorotto joked in a telephone interview. "It certainly pleased us that the characters were considered real, because that's what we try to do."The Naples court will have to rewrite the summons, though this will probably delay the trial, said Disney lawyer Cristina Ravelli. | |

| Warner brothers' looney tunes or Walt Disney cartoons? | | Who are fond of watching cartoons here? At age 21, I do still enjoy cartoon movies and series. As we all know, Walt Disney cartoon characters are more popular than the Looney Tunes. But I'm more of the Looney Tunes' fan although Walt Disney cartoons are more cute and attractive. The reason why I pick Looney Tunes is because I'm an avid collector of Bugs Bunny stuff. He's my favorite.:) So which among of the two do you think is the best?:)ay the trial, said Disney lawyer Cristina Ravelli. | |
| | the bastardization of old looney tunes cartoons | | are any of these still intact?
i remember in the 1980's,they started getting hard on cartoon "violence" and started chopping up many of the classics.
many of the individual shorts i watched in the 1970's became choppy,
the flow was disrupted, and some of them made no sense now at all.
the 80's version of "the bugs bunny & roadrunner show" was a prime example.a classic example-
"what's opera doc" which was originally around the 7 minute mark,
was now around three minutes.
i am hoping they dig in the vaults to find the original prints of some of these classics and release them.
NOT what the networks seem to be running now.

| | What cartoons do you think should be on television that are not right now? | | I think if is a shame that Looney Tunes are not aired anywhere on television. They were back on Cartoon Network for a few weeks but then they were taken out. Many people had to have missed that they were back. It is a shame that these classic cartoons are not aired on television. There is an entire generation of children who are missing out on Looney Tunes due to them not being aired on television. So how about you? Do you think that there are any cartoons that it's a shame that are not on television and thus children these days are missing out on them? Looking forward to reading your responses. | |
