| | Sony not planning UMD solution for PSPgo purchasers | | sony is primed and ready to unleash the newest in their portable gaming line, the PSPgo next week, but will offer no UMD solution for early adopters according to statements made at the Tokyo Game Show this week.The PSPgo, the worst kept secret of E3 2009, has no UMD drive, and will instead rely 100% on digital downloads,a move that has lead some retail outlets to not even carry the thing.Sony is offering a rewards program for European regions though.There, gamers can download three titles, of 17 total, at no charge. The list includes Resistance: Retribution, Patapon, and Wipeout Pure.However, the rest of us, in North America, will not enjoy any such luxury.So if you've amassed a robust library of disc-based PSP games and were hoping to receive a voucher to download each, sorry, doesn't look like it's happening.The PSPgo goes on sale October 1 priced at $249.99more info:

| | Do you think Sony PlayStation Portable is a failure? | | I own 2 PSPs (one bricked/broken) but I must admit that I'm disappointed with Sony with the direction they are taking for the PSP. Some of the famous games which was announced during the launching of PSP, failed to materialize. One of them is GT Mobile from the Grand Turismo developer. God of Wars, Patapon and Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core are 3 very good games but other than that, there's not much good games to be mentioned here, especially in the past 12 months. The PSP scene has been a little bit quiet. True, Sony is trying to make it a "popular all in one mobile gadget" but is this really what most PSP buyers want?What do you think?
