| | 40 years of Sesame Street.. It is shown on Google's logo | | Google is now more creative in designing their logo. Now, it is not only a holiday but also the special event like today, the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. Does anyone ever remember that? In Wiki, I found that it was ranked the fifteenth most popular children's show on television. It was premiered in 1969.
The idea of changing logo is very good, don't you think?

| Growing up watching Sesame Street | | I grew up watching Sesame Street and recently got back in touch with it after my son started watching it. Its interesting to see how the characters have changed and gotten older. Did you watch Sesame Street as a child? Who was your favorite character? Do you feel it has changed to appeal to kids nowadays? My favorite was Maria and seeing how she is now older and a more sophisticated is truly amazing. She used to be the one who brought life to the show with her energy and at times sarcasm. I loved her. Now I still love her with but percieve her a bit different than before. I think the show has changed to aim towards the difference of growing up in older times to newer times. Your thoughts? | |
| | sesame street | | what ever happened to the sesame street that we use to watch? my son is getting into sesame street now and it seems like we have watched the same episodes 5 million times already. he gets so excited for elmo's world but my husband and i are already tired watching the same thing over and over again. | |

| Sesame Street | | I don't think Sesame Street is as good as it used to be. I remember waching it when I was a kid, and absoultely loving all the content. I have 3 children, and my youngest is almost 2, and I put on Sesame Street on demand last week, and it didn't seem as wholsome and as entertaining as it used to be. What do you think? Parents, what does your toddler like to watch? My son love Pooh and Little Einsteins, which I completely love both! | |

| Getting rid of Sesame Street characters? | | Apparently they got rid of cookie monster because he's a monster and eats too much cookies, oscar because well he's a grouch, and earnie and bert because they are two men living together?
I never thought of these things as a problem and I think it's really dumb that they replaced those good characters.
Your opinion? | |
| | Sesame Street is not as innocent as you think | | Yes, I'm still looking at Sesame Street on You-Tube lol. Found something that was utterly shocking to me. Just when you think you have found a totally innocent show, something that you can enjoy with the kids, you discover that they aren't as innocent as you thought they were. Just check this blooper reel:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Vh9_Hi1kY | |

| Sesame Street | | What's your favourite character on Sesame Street? I like Big Bird since young!=) | |
| | Who Is Your Favorite SESAME STREET Character? | | We were all young once. I’m sure that almost all of us followed each episode of Sesame Street that aired on TV. Heck, even now that I’m all grown up, I still find myself humming or singing their songs like “C is for Cookie” and “Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood?” to my 18-month old nephew! I must admit that the show had a huge impact on my childhood and I learned a lot from watching it.[em]lol[/em]My favorite Sesame Street characters of all time are Grover, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Guy Smiley. Too bad Sesame Street isn’t shown anymore. Playhouse Disney Channel does air Play with Me Sesame but it’s nothing like the original. So, who is your favorite Sesame Street character?[em]happy[/em] | |
